Members of police have arrested five more people over the clash with battery-run rickshaw drivers at Kaptai Rastar Matha under Chandgaon Police Station in Chattogram city.

The arrests were made during separate drives in the Chandgaon area on Monday (April 28) morning.

The arrestees are Md Shakil, 26, Md Morshed Alam, 27, Haradhan Dey, 55, Md Jewel, 30, and Md Sala Uddin, 25.

Chandgaon Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md Aftab Uddin told Banglanews that five more people were arrested on Monday morning in connection with the clash.

With the latest arrests, police have so far detained a total of 56 rickshaw drivers in the case, he said.
