DHAKA: Communist Party of Bangladesh (CPB), Bangladesh Samajtantrik Dal (BSD) and Gono Forum attempted to lay siege to Energy Ministry building and staging their protest against the price hike and corruption of energy on Sunday.

Police obstructed the protesters in front of Jatiya Press Club while they were marching toward the secretariat around 11:00am and they staged their demonstration near to secretariat.

However, they took position there and continued their protest against the government’s decision in power price hike.
