DHAKA: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) held sixteen brokers from in front of the passport office at Agargaon in city on Sunday noon.

RAB-2 operation officer Rayhan Uddin Khan confirmed the matter to banglanews saying on tips-off, they conducted a drive to hold the brokers, who illegally influenced people to obtain passport easily in a short time.

He further said that action will be taken against the detainees according to the order of the mobile court. They are now in RAB custody in front of the passport office.

The RAB has conducted the drive to protect the passport seekers from harassment and cheating, he added.
