The Bangladesh Meteorology Department (BMD) has forecast light to moderate rain or thundershowers in parts of the country over the next 24 hours starting from 9am today (May 20).
Rain with lightning and gusty winds is likely in many areas of Rangpur, Mymensingh, and Sylhet divisions; a few places in Rajshahi and Dhaka; and isolated spots in Khulna, Barishal, and Chattogram.
Heavy rainfall may occur in Rangpur, Mymensingh, and Sylhet.
A low-pressure trough extends from West Bengal to the North Bay through southwest Bangladesh. Temperatures are expected to remain nearly unchanged.
Monday’s highest temperature was 36.2°C in Jashore, while the lowest today was 21.6°C in Sayedpur.
Rangpur recorded the highest rainfall at 118mm.
