A total of 85,164 Bangladeshi pilgrims have reached Saudi Arabia to perform Hajj this year, with the final flight departing Dhaka last night, officials confirmed today.
Pilgrims traveled on 219 flights operated by Biman Bangladesh Airlines, Saudi Airlines, and Flynas. This year's Hajj will be held on June 5.
Of the 87,100 registered pilgrims, 5,200 are under government management, while the rest are with private Hajj agencies. So far, 15 Bangladeshi pilgrims have died, mostly due to health complications, and 160 others are under medical care.
Preparations are underway for the journey to Mina and Arafat, with IT teams distributing maps and conducting training to assist pilgrims during rituals.
Return flights will begin on June 10 and continue until July 10.
