Four additional Deputy Inspectors General (DIGs) of Bangladesh Police have been transferred in a recent reshuffle.

The Public Security Division of the Ministry of Home Affairs issued a notification in this regard on Sunday (June 15), signed by Deputy Secretary Md Mahbubur Rahman on behalf of the President.

According to the order, Additional DIG (RRF) Ali Akbar Khan has been transferred to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) as Additional DIG. Mohammad Shamsul Haque, Additional DIG and Commander of 9 APBn in Chattogram, has also been posted to CID as Additional DIG.

Meanwhile, Additional DIG of APBn Dhaka Md Nazrul Islam has been made Additional DIG of CID, and Additional DIG of CID Rumana Akter has been transferred as Commandant of RRF Dhaka.

The order said the transfer has been made in public interest and will take immediate effect.
