HABIGANJ: Two people including a woman were killed in a road accident on Dhaka-Sylhet highway in Aoushkandi area under Nabiganj Upazila of the district on Friday afternoon.  

Identity of the deceased could not be known immediately after the incident.
 
Witnesses said that a Sylhet-bound passenger bus collided head -on with a Dhaka-bound private car in Aoushkandi area around 3:15pm, leaving a woman, 35 dead on the spot and 2 others injured.                            

Injured were rushed to Nabiganj Upazila Health Complex where on doctor declared a man dead.    

Later critically injured another one was shifted to Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital.                       

Sub-Inspector Humayun Kabir of Sherpur Highway Thana confirmed the matter to banglanews.
