GOALANDA, RAJBARI: A businessman and a woman were shot dead by the miscreants in Daulatia under Goalanda Upazila of the district on Friday evening. 

The deceased were identified as Salma, 30 and businessman Chan Mia, 42.
    
Sources said that a gang of miscreants opened fire aiming the victims around 6:30pm in Daulatia, leaving them critically injured.

Later, locals rushed them to Goalanda Upazila Health Complex where doctor declared them dead.

Goalanda Thana Officer-in-Charge Abul Basar confirmed the matter to banglanews.
