SATKHIRA: The Election Commission withdrew 21 presiding officers in Kalaroa Upazila of the district in fourth phase of Upazila elections to be held on Sunday.

Kolaroa Upazila Election officer Benzir Ahmed confirmed the matter to banglanews of 9:00am Saturday.

Benzir Ahmed said, amongst the withdrawn presiding officers, there are many teachers and officer of different government organizations. They were withdrawn over the specific allegations.

The election commission has taken all types of preparations to hold the polls in free and fair manner. A total of 67 trained presiding officers, 452 assistant presiding officers and 904 polling officers have been appointed for 67 vote centers in the upazila.
