DHAKA: The government has decided to realize tolls for using roads and highways for 13-category vehicles.

With Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair, cabinet on Monday gave final approval to ‘Toll Principles-2014’ in this connection.

Cabinet secretary Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan made the disclosure to the journalists after the meeting.

Users have to pay tolls for running vehicles of 13-category for using national, regional and district roads under Roads and Highways Department, he added.

He also said that the roads and highways will be brought under the toll collection gradually and the toll-amount will start from Tk 5.
