MYMENSINGH: A three-year child was killed in a road accident at Isswarganj upazila of the district on Monday.

The deceased was identified as Sijan, son of Khokan Bhuiyan, hailed from Borojora village of Maijbag union under the upazila.

Kamrul Islam, Officer-in-Charge of Isswarganj Thana, told banglanews a bus of Isha Kha Paribahan knocked Sijan down while he was waiting with his father and mother at Terchati Bus Stand, leaving him dead ton the spot.

Following the accident, angry mob blockaded the highway for half-an-hour.

On information, police forces rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control.
