HABIGANJ: Two siblings were killed in a road crash in Kamargaon area on Syedpur-Kamargaon road under Nabiganj upazila of the district on Tuesday.

The deceased were identified as Rangu Mia, 25 and his younger brother Hafez Lingcon, 22, son of late Abdul Khaleque.

Witnesses said the motorbike of the victims knocked a roadside tree while they were going to Kamargaon village to join a marriage ceremony around 12:30pm, leaving the two brothers critically injured.

Later, locals rushed them to Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital where doctor declared them dead around 1:30pm.

Nabiganj Thana Officer-in-Charge Jahangir Alam confirmed the matter to banglanews.
