DHAKA: An ill fated father was killed by his son in Armanitola area of Bongshal in the city on Tuesday.

The deceased was identified as Nurul Mamun, 45, son of Nurul Islam.

Sources said that the victim was chopped to death by his son in the area in the noon and the killer son managed to flee the scene immediately after the killing.

Officer-in-Charge of Bongshal Thana M Abdul Kuddus Fakir told banglanews: “We are looking into the incident.”

The body was sent to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital Morgue for autopsy, he added.
