Dhaka: A man was killed as a train knocked him at rail crossing in Kuril Biswa Road area in the city early Sunday.

The deceased was identified as Prodip Datt, 26, an engineer.

Further details could not be known immediately.

Kamalapur GRP thana Officer-in-Charge A Mojid confirmed the matter to banglanews.

The body is being sent of Dhaka Medical College Hospital for autopsy.

ASI Nazrul Islam told banglanews, a Sylhet-bound Parabat Express knocked the victim, while he was crossing the rail crossing.

Earlier on March 20, another person was crushed under train in the same crossing.
