Bangladesh Meteorological Department has forecast thundershowers in parts of three divisions, with partly cloudy skies elsewhere, according to a bulletin issued on Sunday (October 19).
Meteorologist AKM Nazmul Haque said the season’s normal low lies over the South Bay, with an extension stretching to the North Bay.
A low-pressure area may form over the southeast Bay of Bengal around Tuesday (October 21) and could subsequently intensify into a depression.
Through Monday (October 20) morning, light rain or thundershowers are possible at isolated places in Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions.
Other regions are likely to remain mainly dry with partly cloudy skies, and day and night temperatures are expected to remain nearly unchanged.
For the 24 hours from Monday (October 20) morning, isolated rain or thundershowers may occur in parts of Chattogram division; elsewhere, the weather should stay mostly dry under partly cloudy skies, with little change in temperatures.
