DHAKA: Two people including a police man were killed and three more injured in a road crash in Sabujbagh area of the city early Wednesday.

Of the deceased one was identified as Assistant Sub-Inspector of police (ASI) Bikash Kumar Ghosh, 37, of Sabujbagh Thana.

Sources said that a speedy lorry rammed a pickup van in Sabujbagh Buddhist temple area around 1:00am, leaving the pickup helper dead on the spot and three others critically injured.

Later, the injured were rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where duty doctor declared the police man dead around 4:00am.

Sabujbagh Thana Sub-Inspector Tajul Islam confirmed the matter to banglanews.
