DHAKA: Gonojagoron Mancha is going to raise their voices with new demands-- punishment of fake freedom fighters and heinous people, who are trying to distort history.
Under banner of Muktojoddha Sangsad Santan Command and Muktijoddha Projonmo, a mass signature campaign has already begun from April 10 and it is primarily scheduled to be continued till April 20.
Mehedi Hasan, president of the two organizations, told banglanews that they have demanded punishment of war criminals and incumbent government has given support to their demands. Now they are demanding punishment of those people, who have distorted history of the country.
He also said that Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) permitted 10 days primarily for the signature campaign.
In reply to a query whether there is any faction in the Mancha, Mehedi Hasan said, “Ultimately we all have same demand. We are grateful to the people who are engaged with the movement of Gonojagoron Mancha and we are working together.”
Besides, Muktojoddha Sangsad Santan Command general secretary Sheikh Lipon Ahmed Dipu, Joint secretary Syed Abdus Samad Suman, Muktijoddha Projonmo secretary general Selim Reza voiced for same demands.
On the other hand, it was not possible to talk with Gonojagoron Mancha spokesman Dr Imran H Sarkar.
Earlier on April 3, Gonojagoron Mancha became divided and the two groups of the organization locked into clash. Following the clash two separate cases were filed.
