TANGAIL: Sonali Bank, the largest state-run bank of the country, Tangail Unit Association CBA leader Kazi Shafiqul Islam Shafi was killed after abduction.   

After the murder, police held four people, including a woman suspecting they are involved in the killing.      

Police recovered the body on Sunday noon from a pond of Kurni village under Mirzapur upazila.

Shafiqul’s wife Aleya Begum said he was missing from Saturday night when he went out from home by getting a phone call of a friend.

Family members alleged that Shafiqul’s abduction and murder was preplanned.

Police sent the body to Tangail General Hospital morgue for autopsy.
