KUSHTIA: Two Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) personnel were injured as smugglers attacked them in Bilgathua frontier under Daulatpur upazila of the district on Tuesday night.

The injured are- Abdul Aziz and Haridas.

Kushtia BGB-32 Battalion Deputy Commander Major Mehedi Hasan told banglanews, “A gang of smugglers was coming from India with smuggled goods and a BGB patrol team challenged them in the area around 10:30pm. Then the smugglers attacked the BGB men, leaving two injured.”

Later, BGB in a drive detained 15 people from Bilgathua village.
