GAZIPUR: A man, who was awarded three years imprisonment, died of cardiac arrest at Kashimpur jail on Wednesday morning.

The deceased was identified as Anwar Hossain, 36, former member of Bangladesh Rifles (BDR), son of late Abdul Khalek, hailed from Pirujali village under Gazipur Sadar of the district.

Sources said that Anwar felt sever chest pain and then was rushed to Gazipur Sadar Hospital where he died around 9:00am.

DHAKA Central Jail Part-1 (Kashimpur Jail) Jailer Amjad Hossain Don confirmed the matter to banglanews.
