CHITTAGONG: Two persons were killed in a road accident on Dhaka-Chittagong highway in Kumra by-pass area under Sitakundo upazila of the district early Wednesday.

The identity of the deceased could not be known immediately.

Confirming the matter to banglanews, Sergeant Jillur Rahman said, “A Dhaka-bound pick-up van knocked a covered van in the area, leaving two killed on the spot.”

The bodies were taken to Thana while pick-up van drivers managed to flee the scene, he added.
