NARAYANGANJ: Police recovered body of a youth from the river Shitalakkhya at Rupganj area of the district on Saturday.

The identity of the deceased couldn’t be known immediately while police earlier recovered seven bodies from the river on Wednesday later whom were identified as kidnapped.

Confirming this matter to banglanews, Rupaganj Thana Officer-in-Charge Asaduzzaman Mia said that police recovered a floating body from Bagunchar of that area after being informed by the locals and sent the body to the Narayanganj Sadar Hospital Morgue for autopsy.

“The deceased’s age is around 30 and police find injury signs at his head,” OC added.

He said that it is supposed that he might be killed 3/4 days ago.
