DHAKA: A high-level investigation committee was formed to look into the alleged involvement of Rapid Action Batation-11 in abduction and murder of seven people including Narayanganj City panel mayor Nazrul Islam.

RAB headquarters, on Monday, formed the four-member probe body headed by its additional director general Aftab Uddin.

The committee was asked to submit report within short time and departmental action would be taken those who found guilty, said RAB’s legal media wing.

Nazrul Islam’s family members alleged that some Rab members killed Nazrul in exchange for Tk 6 crore from Nur Hossain.

Nazrul Islam’s father-in-law Shahidul Islam on Saturday brought the allegation in Narayanganj Rifle Club while talking to journalists.
