BENAPOLE, JESSORE: Immigration Police has issued red alert at Immigration Checkpost at Benapole to avoid escape of any blacklisted criminals and accused Jamaat-Shibir activists especially suspected of Narayanganj seven murders.
After a visit on Monday morning at the immigration checkpost, it was seen that police were scrutinizing passports of the travelers. They have also hung pictures of blacklisted people at the main gate of the immigration checkpost.
Besides, the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) personnel are on highest security alert along the borders so that the criminals cannot escape the country, said 26 BGB commanding officer Lt. Col. Matiur Rahman.
Moreover, along with the Bangladesh Immigration Police, India’s Border Security Force (BSF) personnel are quizing Bangladeshi passport holders before entering India through Benapole Checkpost.
