DHAKA: The High Court (HC) on Monday asked the government and CID to investigate into the alleged involvement of RAB in abduction and killings of seven people, including Narayanganj councilor Nazrul Islam, after taking Tk 6 crore.
AN HC bench comprising Justice Reza-ul-Haq and Justice Govind Chandra Thakur passed the order.
The court also ordered RAB to conduct departmental investigation into the murder.
Councilor Nazrul Islam’s family alleged some of RAB-11 personnel took six crore taka from some persons, including another councilor of Narayanganj City Corporation (NCC) Nur Hossain, and complied with the much-talked-about seven murder.
Meanwhile, RAB Headquarters formed the four-member probe body headed by its additional director general Aftab Uddin.
The committee was asked to submit report within short time and departmental action would be taken against those who found guilty, said RAB’s legal media wing.
