KISHOREGANJ: At least two farmers were killed as lightning struck them at Bhoirab upazila in the district on Wednesday afternoon.

The deceased were identified as Nazir Uddin, 38, son of one Abul Hossain and Abdul Awal, 17, son of one Akkas Mia from the area.

Local sources said lightning struck them while working at the field, leaving them injured critically.

Other farmers rushed them to Upazila Health Complex where the on duty doctor declared them dead, sources added.
