NARAYANGANJ: Leaders of BNP-backed Sammilito Peshajibi parishad Friday declared to continue their movement till the proper investigation and punishment of persons involved in sensational 7-murder in Narayanganj.

They made the declaration after expressing their condolences to the grief stricken family of Narayanganj City Corporation panel mayor Nazrul Islam.

They also assured the victim family members that they would not stage movements on the basis of political point of view.

Acting convener of parishad Ruhul Amin Gazi, member secretary Dr AZM Zahid Hossain of DAB (Doctors Association of Bangladsh), noted film director Chashi Nazrul Islam, M Rafiqul Islam, Advocate Sanaullah Mia of Dhaka Bar, BFUJ president Shawkat Mahmud, secretary general MA Aziz, poet Selim Bala among others were present there.

They went to the residence of slain lawyer Chandan Sarker and met his daughters and son-in-laws. 

Later around 11:45am, they went to meet the wife of Nazrul Islam.
