RAJSHAHI: A person was killed and two others were injured in a road crash in Shalbagan intersection area of the metropolitan city on Monday morning.

The deceased was identified as Anisar Rahman, 45, resident of Bagmara upazila of the district.

Police sources said that a rashly driven passenger bus collided head on with a CNG run auto-rickshaw in the area around 7:00am, leaving Anisar dead on the spot and two other passengers of the auto-rickshaw injured critically.

Police seized the bus but the bus driver managed to flee the scene.

The body was sent to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.

Sub-Inspector of Boalia Thana Shariful Islam confirmed the matter to banglanews.
