CHITTAGONG: A gold trader is allegedly missing for two days in the port city.
The missing businessman is identified as Palash Dhar, 38, residing in Nasir Kolony of Dhaniarpul area under Chalkbazar Thana, owner of MN Jewelers of the area.
His family alleged to banglanews that Palash might be kidnapped.
His relative Dhiman Kumar Banik said to banglanews that Palash went missing on Monday afternoon, after leaving home for Noakhali.
“At that night he called his wife from two different numbers and told her that he had lost his mobile phone.”
Dhiman added that Palash told some irrelevant talks at that time.
He said that all that numbers are switched off now, though he was about to return home Tuesday. So, his family filed a case in this connection at city’s Chakbazar Thana.
Chakbazar Thana Officer-in-Charge Atique Ahmed Chowdhury told banglanews that police is suspecting Palash might in any danger.
“We are suspecting that he might be kidnapped”
Officer added that Palash must contact with his family at natural situation.
Earlier, another businessman was abducted from that area named Mridul Chowdhury. He was abducted on February 11 morning’s 10:30am while going to his chop from home. Later law-enforcers rescued him from Kangshanagar under Burichang of Comilla district.
