DHAKA: Following a High Court order, police conducted raid at the house of Nur Hossain, prime accused of Narayanganj 7-killing, at Siddhirganj to seize his movable wealth on Thursday afternoon.
So far, police seized a revolver with eight rounds of bullet, eight rounds of cartridge of shotgun and deerskin along with other wealth including two sofa sets, two LCD TVs.
A 50-member team, led by Officer-in-Charge of Siddhirganj Thana Alauddin and under the supervision of Narayanganj district administration NDC Abul Kashem, conducted the raid.
On May 14, Senior Judicial Magistrate of Narayanganj KM Mohiuddin passed the order to confiscate movable properties of Nur Hossain after a plea of DB Police Inspector (investigation) Mamunur Rashid Mandal.
On April 30, Narayanganj City Corporation Councilor Nazrul Islam, senior lawyer Chandan Kumar Sarker and five others were found dead floating on River Shitalkkhya after 3-day of their abduction.
Panel mayor Nazrul’s father-in-law alleged that Nur Hossain gave three RAB members Tk six-crore to kill Nazrul.
