FENI: The upazila Chairman and Awami League president of Fulgazi upazila was shot and burnt to death at his own car by miscreants in Academy area of the district town on Tuesday. 

The deceased was identified as Ekramul Haque Ekram, 47, chairman of the upazila.

Another three people including the driver of the car also received severe burn injuries.

Officer of Feni fire service Jahangir Alam said that fire fighters along with locals doused the flame.

The injured were rushed to Feni Diabetics Hospital.

Chairman of Daganbhuiyan upazila Didarul Kabir Ratan confirmed the matter to banglanews.
