SYLHET: Two passers-by were run over by a speedy bus in Nazirpur Bazar area on Dhaka-Sylhet highway on Wednesday morning. 

The deceased were identified as Sufian Ahmed, 8, Farhan Ahmed, 9, were student of a Madrasa in Nazirpur area.

Following the accident, locals blocked Dhaka-Sylhet highway that pushed huge traffic jam in the area. 

Locals said the bus rammed into the two boys as its driver lost control over the steering and then plunged into a roadside ditch, leaving them dead on the spot and 8 passengers of the bus injured.

Osmaninagar thana officer-in-charge Juber Ahmed confirmed the matter to banglanews.
