SATKHIRA: Border Guards Bangladesh (BGB) seized one kilogram gold from Kalaroa frontier in the district on Thursday night while smuggling to India.

Confirming the matter to banglanews, Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) 38 Satkhira battalion Commanding Officer Lieutenant Colonel Shahjahan Siraj said that acting on a tip-off they have recovered the gold from Gayra Bazar under Chandanpur union of the upazila at around 10:30pm.

Though, the smugglers fled the spot sensing the preparation of raid, he said. Seized gold will be deposited at the treasury on Saturday.
