FENI: A Feni court on Sunday placed four accused of Phulgazi upazila chairman Ekramul murder case on a five-day remand for police interrogation.

The accused are Anwar, Ikbal, Alauddin and Belal.

Senior Judicial Magistrate Khairul Amin granted the remand when investigation officer of the case Abul Kalam Azad produced them before the court. 

On 20 May, Fulgazi Upazila Chairman Ekramul Haque was shot and burnt to death in a miscreants’ attack in the district town.

Three others, who were on the vehicle, were also critically burnt in the incident that took place in front of Bilash Cinema Hall in Academy area.
