BSF held BD man in Thakurgaon

THAKURGAON: Border Security Force (BSF) of India detained a Bangladeshi national in Nagarvita frontier under Baliadangi Upazila of the district on Sunday night.

The victim was identified as Mafiz Uddin, 26, son of late Abdul Malek, hailed from Baniabasti village of Baro Palashbari union under the upazila.

Confirming the matter, Thakurgaon BGB-30 Commander Lieutenant Colonel Kamal Ahmed told banglanews, “Tingaon BSF Camp personnel of BSF Battalion -121, picked up the man from inside of India near to Pillar no 121 around 8:30pm.” 

A letter was sent to BSF asking them to hold a flag meeting to get the victim, he added.
