DHAKA: Two people received bullet injury as miscreants opened fire in South Monipur area under Mirpur of the capital on Tuesday.

The victims are Mainuddin and Hazrat Ali Bhutto.

Mainuddin’s younger brother Raisuddin said two miscreants, riding motorbike with helmet shot his brother along with another person.

Bhutto was walking to the aside there while Mainuddin was having tea, at that time, he added. Later, he rushed them to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) with the help of one Ovi.

DMCH police camp in-charge Mozammel Haque said Mainuddin received injuries in his stomach and Bhutto in his shoulder.

However, Bhutto claimed that local cable network provider Mahbub and his cohort shot them.
