JHENAIDAH: Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) in a drive seized 1200 bottles of Phensidyl from Betbaria village of Maheshpur upazila on Wednesday evening.

Ayub Ali, commander of Jadabpur BGB camp, said to banglanews that they conducted a drive in the area and recovered aforesaid contraband in an abandoned condition.

Smugglers gathered the drugs from India to spread out these around the country, he added.

A case was filed in this connection with Maheshpur Thana.
