DHAKA: Ferry services resumed on Mawa-Kawrakandi route after a halt following assault on a bus driver by ghat lineman on Friday.

Workers of Munshganj Motor Owners Association decided to stop loading and unloading of goods on the ferry from 11:30am.

Workers went back to their works after local administration assured them of taking punitive measures against the responsible people at 1:30pm.

Due to disruption of the ferry services, hundreds of vehicles had been stranded on both sides of the route creating a long tailback.
