DHAKA: Myanmar ambassador to Bangladesh U Myo Myint Than has been summoned again to the ministry of foreign affairs on Saturday.

A meeting, to ease tension on Bangladesh-Myanmar border, is underway from 10:30am on the day at state guest house Padma in the city.

Foreign ministry’s external publicity wing director general Sakahuddin Noman Chowdhury confirmed the matter to banglanews.

The ongoing meeting will emphasize the incident of firing and detaining a member of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) patrol team by Myanmar Border Police along the Bangladesh-Myanmar international border.
