DHAKA: A young lady allegedly committed suicide in Sabujbagh area of the capital on Saturday.

The deceased was identified as Runa Akhter, 23, daughter of Jaynal Abedin of South Rajarbagh Batpara area of the city.

Her cousin Naser told banglanews that Runa might have committed suicide after her younger sister got married before her.

Her sister Joti got married around four months ago, he added from then Runa used to avoid people.

Naser told that Runa’s family found her body hanging from shower of their bathroom early Saturday.

Sabujbagh Thana Sub-Inspector Rafiqul Islam said police sent the body to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital Morgue for autopsy.
