BRAHMANBARIYA: commanding officer of RAB-14 Major AZM Sakib Siddique, among 11 other personnel of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), was sued in Shahnur Alam murder case. 

Mehedi Hasan, brother of Shahnur, filed the case with Nabinagar Court’s of Senior Judge Nazmun Nahar on Sunday noon and the court set June 4 as the next date of hearing.

Sources said that Shahnur, son of Hazi Rahiz Ruddin, residing in Bagdar village was detained by the RAB-14 members. Later, he was allegedly killed on May 6 in brutal torture in police custody.

From, then on, deceased’s family raised their finger against RAB for this murder.
