ASHULIA, DHAKA: The fire, which broke out at Savar’s Ashulia Sramik Palli on Wednesday morning, brought under control, while 20 people got injured there.

Dhaka Export Processing Zone (DEPZ) fire services and civil defense station officer Sabbir Ahmed confirmed the matter to banglanews.

He said that on information, three fire fighting units rushed to the spot and brought the flame under control after one hour effort.

Earlier, the fire broke out from a worker’s room, named Lutfor Rahman Mandal, at Savar Sramik Palli in Ashulia Narasinghapur area around 10:00am, while the reason of origination couldn’t be identified.

Later, the fire soon spread out and gutted adjacent 40 houses.
