NATORE: After two hour’s effort, fighters doused the fire of Natore Jute Mill at Dattapara BSCIC Industrial area on Tuesday.

Confirming the matter to banglanews, Natore Fire Services and Civil Defenses Station Master Abdur Rouf said that fighters of three units brought the fire under control around 1:15pm.  

Earlier, the fire broke out from an electric short circuit in that mill around 11:30am, he added.

The amount of loss is yet to know while the fire gutted a large quantity of raw jute, jute products and factory tools worth TK. 2 crore, Sheym Sundar Agarwala, the owner of the jute mill told the journalists.
