BENAPOLE (JESSORE): Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) detained 47 Bangladeshi people from Benapole frontier in the district on Wednesday evening.

They were detained from Putkhali, Goga and Kaiba village of the frontier and hails from Jessore, Norail, Satkhira, Khulna and Bagerhat district.

Asraf Hossain, Sub-Inspector of Benapole Port Thana, confirming the matter, said among them 38 people were handed over to police till 8:30pm.

All detainees would be produced before a Jessore court on Thursday, he added.
