RIYADH: Saudi Arabia has imposed ban on midday work for three-hour for excessive heat wave which comes into effect from Sunday.
The Saudi Labour Ministry said it on Saturday through a press release.
The three-hour work ban from 12:00pm to 3:00pm and will continue until September 15, it added.
The ministry said workers at oil and gas companies and emergency maintenance are exempt from the rule, but companies should take adequate measures for their protection from heat of sun.
The ministry said it would take punitive action against firms who violates the prohibition and urged citizens and residents to report about violators on 920001173.
