DHAKA: Agitated Biharis staged protest procession and put blockade on roads at Kalshi in front of Kurmitola Bihari Camp in city’s Pallabi area on Sunday morning.

Sources said that the Biharis created the road block around 11:30am and tried to vandalize vehicles, disrupting traffic movement in the area.

Meanwhile, convincing the Biharis, police made traffic movement on the road normal. 

Earlier on Saturday, at least 10 people, including four members of a family, were burnt to death when two groups of Bihari locked into clashes at that area early Saturday over blasting fireworks on the occasion of the holy Shab-e-Barat. 

A 3-member body has been formed to probe into the Kalshi clash that killed 10.

The probe committee led-by Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime and Operations) Meer Rezaul Alam will visit the spot on Sunday noon.
