2 held with 6.5kg gold at CTG airport

CHITTAGONG: The Customs authorities recovered 6.5kg gold from two passengers at Hazrat Shah Amanat International Airport in Chittagong on Tuesday night.

The detainees were identified as Helal Uddin and Nurul Aziz.

Confirming the matter to banglanews, Customs Assistant Commissioner at the airport Moshiur Rahman Mandal said that steel bar, reportedly where gold is mixed, was recovered in the night from two Bangladesh Biman passengers flying from Dubai.

After examining on Wednesday, action will be taken against them, he added.
