ICT permits to quiz Latif at safe home

DHAKA: International Crimes Tribunal (ICT)-1 permitted to interrogate war crimes accused Abdul Latif Taluker at safe home for one day. 

The 3-member ICT bench led by Justice M Enayetur Rahim passed the order after hearing on Wednesday. 

On Monday, the prosecution submitted an appeal before ICT-1 to quiz Abdul Latif Taluker at safe home regarding allegations of his involvement in crimes against humanity in 1971 and cross-check the information about his two co-accused Razakar Bahini deputy commander Sirajul Haque alias Siraj Master and Akram Khan, commander of Daibagyahati Razakar camp at Morelganj in Bagerhat.   

Latif was arrested from his village Solarkola in Radipara union of Kochua in Bagherhat on June 11 and produced before the tribunal on June 13.

The tribunal sent him to jail for his alleged involvement in crimes against humanity during the Liberation War in 1971.
