DHAKA: Several hundreds of Biharis staged demonstration blocking a road in Kalshi area of Mirpur protesting the killing 10 people of their community on Wednesday noon.                     

The agitating Kurmitola Biharis blocked the DOHS link road from 12:45pm which was continuing till filing the report.

Road transport has been suspended due to the blockade.  

On Saturday, at least 10 people, including four members of a family, were burnt to death at Kalshi when two groups of Bihari locked into clashes in that area over blasting fireworks on the occasion of the holy Shab-e-Barat.   

Later, six separate cases were filed with Pallabi Thana in 10 murder and arson.  

Police filed two cases including a murder case and locals lodged four others cases.   

In the all the cases, unnamed persons were sued and victim’s families did not file a single case yet.
