Man held with 848gm gold at Shahjalal

DHAKA: Armed Police Battalion (APBn) personnel detained a man with 848 gram gold from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Saturday morning.

The detainee is- Saiful Islam, 41. 

Confirming the matter Armed Police Battalion Senior Assistant Police Super (ASP) Alamgir Hossain Shimul told banglanews, “Searching the body of the man, who came from Kuala Lumpur by flight BG-087, law enforcers found three gold bars and a chain.”

The seized gold is worth about Tk 37 lakhs, he added.
